Before applying, be sure to visit our The Animals page. We want to help you find the best possible match—both for you and for them! If you have any questions about a specific animal, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to provide information to help you decide if it’s the right fit.
To be considered for adoption, we require the following:

Application Review
Once we receive your application, our team will begin the review process by contacting your references. After we’ve spoken with your references, we’ll reach out to you directly with any follow-up questions. At this time, we may also request a home visit or ask for photos/videos of the space where your adopted animal(s) will be living.
After all steps are completed, we’ll contact you with the final decision on your application.

Visit With Animal(s) at Mules N More
Once approved for adoption, we will schedule a time with you to come visit the animal(s) you applied to adopt.
Depending on how far you are from the rescue, some people choose to meet and leave with their animal on the same day. This is allowed with prior approval—please let us know if this will be you.
- 04
Finalizing Adoption Details
We will pick a date together and discuss transportation of the animal(s) going to their new home.
We can help with transportation at $1.50/loaded mile (drop-off location must be within 120 miles of our farm).
We will also provide information on good practices and recommended healthcare providers in your area if needed.
- 05
Paperwork
We will send you our adoption contract via Adobe directly to your email address. You can take your time to review the document and ask us any questions you may have. Once all parties have signed, you will receive a finalized copy to your email. We will also email you all medical records at this time.
Reminder: We are looking for adopters who are going to commit to these animals for the rest of their lives. If at any point in time you cannot keep your adopted animal, they MUST come back to Mules N More. We commit to these animals for life to ensure their ongoing safety.
